Lanzerac Wines
The historic Lanzerac estate covers an area of approximately 150 hectares, from which stem the Lanzerac Wines. A variety of soil types and micro climates cover 50 hectares of vineyards that produce noble cultivars including Merlot, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Malbec.
Although the estate has seen numerous ownership changes throughout its centuries old history, it has always remained a producer of award winning wines. Among this tradition, Lanzerac holds the honour of producing the world's first Pinotage.

In 2006, Lanzerac became a member of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI). This initiative aims to preserve natural habitats by planting indigenous trees and plants, eradicating alien vegetation and preventing soil erosion.
Also in this year, the iconic Lanzerac Rosé was re-introduced to the wine-range. The Lanzerac range now consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc and an estate red blend named Lanzerac Classic.
Cellar tours at Lanzerac are available from Monday to Friday at 11:00 and 15:00.
